Stream of Consciousness Saturday. Song.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “song.” First, find a picture–the closest one to you. Your prompt is the title and/or the lyrics of the first song that comes to mind when you look at the picture. Have fun!

So I went into my photos and I found this photo taken by my daughter in law of our grandsons. The moody sky and setting really made me think of this song.

Well there can be only one song. He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother. By The Hollies.

This is part of LindaGHill’s #SoCs.

When children hold hands, nothing is more simple yet so beautiful. A perfect song match for the photo, Willow.

That photo is not only frame-able, it also art gallery worthy. Truly. And the song is perfect.

A few years ago, I sent this song to my best friend. He had some very rough years to get through and I tried to accompany him on that difficult path. Hearing the song now brings tears to my eyes.

I remember buying this on its first release in 1969 and played it over and over. I still remember the words and surprised one of my foster kids when I sang along with it to the radio as they’d never heard it before (or knew I could sing). Great choice Willow.
