WELCOME TO TANKA TUESDAY!

It’s the first of the month and you know what that means! Poets, choose your own syllabic poetry form, theme, words, images, etc. It’s up to you!
This week I have chosen to write a double Etheree about my cousin Lyndy and myself, crowing up.
Lyndy and Me.
This is part of Colleen Chesebro’s Weekly Haiku Challenge.

One
Two three
Lyndy and
Me. Playing in
The yard happily.
Four five six young and free
Life was good for Lyndy and me
Daddy made the scooter, we shared
Such happy days, we were free from care
Seven eight nine, endless days in the sun shine.
Time
Flew by
For Lyndy
And little me too.
Playing in fairy dells,
Ten, eleven Twelve
Summers were good to Lindy
And me.Thirteen fourteen fifteen.
We grew up cousin Lyndy and me
Close together, wherever we may be.

Yes she is special, we are not physically that far apart, different countys but our lives don’t cross that often but we keep in touch by phone and social media. When we meet up its like we have never been apart. 💜

Jul 08, 2020 @ 15:06:47

Jul 08, 2020 @ 10:00:26
I am glad you enjoyed it, I wanted it to convey childhood innocence so I was aiming at a skipping rhyme metre 💜
Jul 08, 2020 @ 11:20:01

Jul 08, 2020 @ 21:40:48
That is so darn cute! I love it. You should get one of those frames with room for both of your photos, and room for the poem. That would be a sweet gift! ❤
Jul 08, 2020 @ 21:44:55
That’s an excellent idea, she has seen it and loves it , thank you for the idea 💜💜💜
Jul 09, 2020 @ 01:40:27
You’re welcome Three frames joined together should do it. Put the poem in the middle and your photos on each side. ❤️
