The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS May 9/2020

It is Saturday and time again for LindaGHill’s #SoCS. Yesterday she gave us the prompt for today.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “cave.” Use it as a noun or a verb. Enjoy!

Cavernous, deeply dark

All stalactites and stalagmites

Vaults so deep, never seen

Eternal entrance to the void

And don’t forget, stalagmites hang down from the roof. Kind of like how the small g hangs down from the line you’re writing on.

I almost chose this cave. I love your take on it.

By the way, stalactites hold on tight to the ceiling. Stalagmites are mighty mountains on the ground. Learned that from rangers at a cavern as a kid. I had to look it up to make sure but something rang sideways in my head as I read John’s comment. https://www.google.com/search?q=stalactites+and+stalagmites&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS841US841&oq=stalagtites&aqs=chrome.2.69i57j0l7.19145j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
