Colleen’s 2020 Weekly #Tanka Tuesday #Poetry Challenge No. 174 #PhotoPrompt

It’s the third week of the month! Time for a #PhotoPrompt

Jude, from Tales Told Different, selected the photo for this month’s photo challenge. I chose to write a Nonet, a poem of nine lines, starting with a line of nine syllables descending in nine lines to one syllable.

Extinct.

Sat alone under the great Red Wood

Not even an eyelid flickered

Arms extended hands relaxed.

Face devoid of feelings

Brain stilled and un-taxed

No spark of life

Battery

Exstinct

Dead.

Oh dear, Willow, this is rather sad and depressed. I hope you have a good weekend. Hugs.

Ohhh, a little bit of sci-fi, Willow. I like your take on this. The woman does look like a robot. Great creativity! ❤
