What Day is it Anyway. Thursday 2 April 2020 A day late.

Why is Linda hosting this post.

She said.”Because if you’re like me and stuck at home already, or if you’re going to be like me soon, the days of the week are going to be hell to keep track of. We have a wonderful community here on WordPress, and I’m sure many people are feeling nervous and/or isolated. I want to make sure every one of us has somewhere to congregate and someone to talk to.

Why am I writing this post ? Because it’s day ? since we have been told by Bossa to stay home and socially distance ourselves. We are all in different circumstances and yet we are all in the same boat.

Immie from herFrou Frou days

I did not sleep well and so I was up before 6am, Ruby was in no mood to get up so I spent some quiet time on my own. I have to admit that I was very unsettled and at the same time touched by a phone call I had had with our eldest son the night before. He lives an hour or so away from us. Also working from home he must be lonely. He was literally begging us to stay home and be safe…don’t go out! don’t shop ! Keep safe!No amount of reassurance seemed to calm him. He can’t shop for us as he and our middle son are at risk with health problems, and as I said he lives quite a way away from us. All I could do was tell him we are being very careful, we exercise the dog in almost deserted woods, plenty of space to give anyone you might meet a wide birth. We shop once a fortnight and apart from that we stay home.

Our youngest son lives about 45 minutes away, he has a wife and two beautiful boys to look after we have told him to stay at home, as it is he is working from home and has been for over two weeks. He is already helping his neighbours. The good thing is we can all keep in touch by phone, WhatsApp, Skype and Zoom. It’s always fun to chat to them. Our middle lad too is bored and lonely, he has not even got the luxury of working from home as his job involves working with the public.

I guess what I am saying is we all have our crosses/ burdens to bear in this time, whether we are a young family in a flat with no space or garden , on our own or in couples, well or unwell, ill or fit this is a hard time. Some have it worse some have it better but we are all bound by one thing we all want to survive. And we will, we will all help eachother and be kind and patient.

So we walked Ruby and and above is a video of the stream from my Wordless Wednesday post. What a difference a week makes.

Chit chat.

I had a video call with a friend, we had a coffee and a chat without leaving our own houses, that’s how it has to be. I got the washing done an dried.

After dinner hubby did the shopping and he also did our middle sons shopping to. We shall take that over to him tomorrow. We will put it on his front door step, get back in the car, wave to him and the drive off.

It was Thursday evening and our whole street went out to clap and cheer for NHS and all Keyworkers.

Again I was too moved and busy clapping to video I shall try again next Thursday 💜 for now here is Canary Wharf in London doing it’s bit!

London United.

How ever lonely, afraid or stressed we are feeling whether we are at home alone or with family, trapped in a far away country trying to get home,on a cruise ship, rich, poor, privileged or not we are all in this together, our scientists, doctors, nurses, carers, teachers all Keyworkers are all pulling together. God bless them and God bless us.

We must spare a thought for our homeless. The UK has homeless, young and old sleeping on the streets of our towns and cities, while every effort to get them off the streets and into accommodation some always seem to slip through the cracks. This is a world wide problem and the poorer countries with highly populated cites and town are now having to cope. South Africa, Africa,South America, India in fact it’s just a nightmare. Just think if you are poor or homeless in any of the countries above how can you self isolate, socially distance, get medical treatment, shop or do anything to protect yourselves unless you are rich. Covid19 will rip through crowded slums and townships, refugee camps.

We have homes and food and medical treatment. Even in America where everyone has to pay for treatment who will treat the poor who don’t have money or health insurance?

I had better stop, sorry this has been a very sombre post. Sadly this is a sombre time. I am sending out good vibes to everyone, love and good health. Stay well stay safe.

But be kind
Be safe out there.
