It’s the first of the month here at Colleen’s Tuesday Tanka and you know what that means! Poets, choose your own syllabic poetry form, theme, words, images, etc. It’s up to you!
Well as it is my choice I have decided to write a Tanka on the promise of Spring. A play on Hope Springs Eternal.

Brave Start.
Bare almost extinct
Tired, at the old year’s ending.
In hibernation
Nature’s spring hope’s eternal
New life giving life to all

AGAIN AGAIN
Here we are again
As days get longer again
Nights shorter again
Take down the tinsel again
Survived the whole year again

Lovely imagery, Willow. I love the first line: “Brave Start.” ❤
Jan 08, 2020 @ 06:41:01
Thank you Colleen, the first line is a title 💜
Jan 08, 2020 @ 13:16:08
Oh! I’m sorry. You can make the title a heading in the editor to help distinguish from a paragraph. ❤️
Jan 08, 2020 @ 15:00:28
Oh! Thank you that’s a handy tip 💜

I’m having one of those weeks. I’m sorry I didn’t realize it was the title, Willow. ❤
