Kids who have to beg in a society as rich as ours…It’s a disgrace.

I think we have to be careful. Do we think that we are in receipt of God’s grace while others go without? The grace of God – however one conceives of that entity – is surely with all of us all of the time. We may not be privy to its ways – but that speaks of our own limitations rather than the limitations in the workings of God. Beauty, love and heroism can take root and thrive in unexpected places. And I say that having, in the past, been made homeless myself – deprived of house, family, money, car, possessions – everything. Painful, bleak and lonely though those years were, they constituted a time in my life, without which, I would now be the poorer.

I use the saying as I see it, we are all just a few circumstances or events away from homelessness, illness, pain, sorrow or poverty. To me the words mean that we cannot take anything for granted and we should be grateful for what we have , however much or however little. No offense meant . I agree the hard times, which I have had too, always teach us and enrich our life’s journey. πŸ’œ
