Song Lyric Sunday. Bus/Truck/Lorry. 6/10/2019

This week Jim Adams at Newepiauthor has given us the prompt :Bus/Truck/Lorry. For Song Lyric Sunday.

I chose The Magic Bus by The Who. It was written by Pete Townshend and released in 1968. I had left school that year and was training as a window dresser. In a boutique called Birds, honestly it was called Birds and in was in West Ealing , West London.

The Who were a West London group and so my friends and I were big fans….. Fun days.

Happy days.

Mum, Me and Steve the dog back in the day.

Nice song Willow. Did you have to put new outfits on the mannequins?

Yes but that’s not all there is to window dressing, there was fabric sculpture for fashion and soft furnishings. China, glass, furniture, shoes it was fun and I do like it 💜

Haha, I almost chose Magic Bus too! There was a compilation album by that name in the UK, first released about fifteen years ago and supposedly a compilation from the Hippie era. San Francisco got in, but I think they were getting desperate when they picked the Beach Boys. Centred around this song.

Love The Who! I was only 3 when this song came out and it wasn’t until I was 7 when I fell in love with them when Pinball Wizard was playing in the clubhouse, where I learned to play pinball. Now, I’m such a fan, we have their 2015 Glastonbury Concert on our DVR. It has been on there for 4 years. My hubby will crank it up on the surround sound about once a month.
