The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Sept. 28/19

Our Linda is attending a Writers’ Festival in Kingston (Ontario), but the prompt must go on. So Dan from No Facilities, is filling in for Linda. Here’s your SoCS prompt:

“Our Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “ent” “ten” “net.” Use one, use two or use all three (bonus points for using two, double-bonus points for using all three). As Linda would say, use ’em any way you’d like. Enjoy!”
So Dan my apologies for running late but here we go 💜.

Intent on tenderising

The meat she bashed the life out of it.

What a waste of good steak.

It’s an easy mistake to make.

Indents you don’t need to make

Just heat the oil in the pan

Then for four minutes each side.

Fry at high heat

Perfect to eat.

Steak four minutes each side

Then then ten minutes rested.

Perfect taste invested.

If you don’t believe me check the internet.

We had a piece of rump steak a little while ago and the butcher tenderised it for me. I cooked it in the pan with water rather than oil, on a low heat, turning occasionally., for about ten minutes in total. It fell away from the fork. Lovely!

30 minutes out of the fridge first. Perfect steak if your directions are followed.
