RonovanWrites #Weekly #Haiku #Poetry Prompt #Challenge #269 Coping & Support #NAMI

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and the prompt words will be reflecting that in some way. The National Alliance on Mental Illness or NAMI is a big part of this.

Our dear Ronovan said :”Those of you who have been with me since the beginning of my blogging time for the past 6 years know that I’ve had my own problems, which was one reason I started blogging in the first place. Through the friendships I developed and the outlet blogging gave me I’ve improved a great deal. I have neglected those friendships, and however much I want to improve in that area I’ve been in a not very energy filled place in parts of my life and those parts have suffered.”

Ronovan’s words resonate with me too because I have suffered on and off with depression. I know the Black Dog well.

To walk in Nature

Is my own way of coping

Friends are my support

Gia always lifts my mood

Friends help me fight the Black Dog .
