I hear your whisper.

This my entry for Ronovanwrites Weekly Haiku Challenge. This week’s prompts are Forrest and Whisper.
Forrest Tanka.
How green and quiet
Forrest, beloved of Gia
I hear your whisper.
Sleep softly
As thousands of feet
Walk past you
Men are blind
To all your timeless wisdom
Older than all time
Tired out an old soul
No longer scary or mean
Eons of magic
So much knowledge to impart
Scary of face, kind heart.
This week Jim Adams at Newepiauthor has set us the prompt of Trains for our Song Lyric Sunday.
So I have chose Mathew and Son by the then Cat Stevens. It a brilliant song about life and it’s treadmill. It mentions the 8.30 train so I think it fits the bill.
Cat Stevens now known as Yusuf Islam.
And if the link is a little tenuous here is the last train to Clarksville by the Monkeys. Oh! I loved the Monkeys.
Our Linda is attending a Writers’ Festival in Kingston (Ontario), but the prompt must go on. So Dan from No Facilities, is filling in for Linda. Here’s your SoCS prompt:
“Our Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “ent” “ten” “net.” Use one, use two or use all three (bonus points for using two, double-bonus points for using all three). As Linda would say, use ’em any way you’d like. Enjoy!”
So Dan my apologies for running late but here we go 💜.
Intent on tenderising
The meat she bashed the life out of it.
What a waste of good steak.
It’s an easy mistake to make.
Indents you don’t need to make
Just heat the oil in the pan
Then for four minutes each side.
Fry at high heat
Perfect to eat.
Steak four minutes each side
Then then ten minutes rested.
Perfect taste invested.
If you don’t believe me check the internet.
I needed to write, so here is an Etheree and a Tanka about enduring devotion.
I
See you
My baby
Such joy you bring
Me. I do not see
What other people do.
Beauty is only skin deep
Your devotion makes my heart leap.
You may not have too pretty a face.
Who needs beauty when you can have pure grace.
*****
And you my sweet dog
Always my best support.
Happy together
We have been made immortal
Still one, a beautiful thought.
A little tribute to Emily Carr her monkey Woo and her faithful dog Billy.
I
really
hate to say
I deleted
all your mail today.
As much I love to
read your posts. A break right now
Is what I need the most. So please
Be patient, I will be back ready
To post and read your blogs and comment back.
