Song Lyric Sunday. 10/8/2019 Famous People.

It’s Sunday again and Jim Adams of NewEpicAuthor said : “The Song Lyric Sunday theme for this week to be a song that includes somebody famous in it.”

Well the first song that comes to mind is the wonderful history lesson We didn’t start the fire by Billy Joel. It is a virtual how’s how and what happened then of modern history. I think more than one person will choose this brilliant song.

Then there is the wonderful Rock on ,James Dean by the fabulous David Essex.

Next I have chosen Joan D’Arc by Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark.

There are so many so I am just going to pick one more . Betty Davis Eyes by Kim Carnes

Oh!one more please High Flying Adored by Antonio Bandares and Madonna. From the Musical Evita which was about Eva PerΓ³n it was originally recorded by David Essex and Elaine Paige.

And the David Essex and Elaine Paige one .

Okay okay I am being greedy I will stop now. πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

I hope you enjoy this I certainly did πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Hard to choose a favorite from the group, but I do love Madonna, so Evita!

How wonderful it was you chose HIGH FLYING ADORED!

    And 2 versions to compare/pick.

I have loved this song since February 1997 at least and it meant a heap to me in 2006.

I think I will focus on the Joan of Arc/Maid of Orleans connection.

[Maybe in the future Anne of the Thousand Days, Willow?]

I wonder if you know the Eagles and their take on James Dean?

I imagine many wonderful people had a crush on Essex. He had flip-floppy hair and these eyes like amber and chocolate.

I adored him, as much as I loved the Eagles he was my hero, as was Donovan and Leo Sayer πŸ’œπŸ’œ
