Lost Souls Shattered Hearts.

Lost souls shattered hearts.

She came from the beautiful light

He was from the depths of hell’s night

Love and beauty grew in her wake

Sadness and pain followed him his smile fake

They fell in love

The Angeles wept from above

The hordes of hell rebelled

So star crossed were these lovers

Hope was lost by their sisters and brothers.

Some railed against the impossibility

Others prayed for love and pity.

God smiled but shed tears

Satan wondered was this the answer to his worse fears.

Could she save his soul

Would he devour her whole.

So star crossed were these lovers

Hope was lost by their sisters and brothers.

Their love was cursed from start

Lost souls shattered hearts.

This afternoon I have spent listen to a group from my past Rasmus . I fell in love again with a song of theirs. I let it inspire me to write a love poem about dark and light. Above the poem , below the video.

Song Lyric Sunday. 14/06/19.

Jim Adams said : This the theme for Song Lyric Sunday this week is Haunted/Magic/Mystery/Supernatural/Trick .

I have chosen In The Shadows by Rasmus.

The Rasmus is a Finnish rock band that formed in 1994 in Helsinki while the band members were in upper comprehensive school. The original band members were Lauri Ylönen (lead singer/songwriter), Eero Heinonen (bass), Pauli Rantasalmi (guitar) and Jarno Lahti (drums). Jarno Lahti left the year after and was replaced by Janne Heiskanen in 1995. Heiskanen quit the band in 1998 and was soon replaced by Aki Hakala. The Rasmus has sold 5 million albums worldwide, 310,000 copies in their native Finland alone. They have won numerous awards, both domestic and international. More information here

The song In The Shadows is very spooky as were both of the videos the made for the song. Which is why I have enclosed both videos.

It is on the group’s fifth studio album Dead Letters. The single achieved considerable chart success throughout Europe and worldwide, including the United Kingdom, where it reached No. 3, and New Zealand, where it topped the chart.

Here is the version for the American market.

And below is the official video for Scandinavia, UK and the rest of the rest of the world both were available and popular.

I always thought Rasmus a great group. Here are the lyrics. Happy Sunday everyone.

In The Shadows”

No sleep
No sleep until I am done with finding the answer
Won’t stop
Won’t stop before I find a cure for this cancer
Sometimes
I feel like going down and so disconnected
Somehow
I know that I am haunted to be wanted

I’ve been watching
I’ve been waiting
In the shadows for my time
I’ve been searching
I’ve been living
For tomorrows all my life

In the shadows

In the shadows

They say
That I must learn to kill before I can feel safe
But I
I’d rather kill myself than turn into their slave
Sometimes
I feel that I should go and play with the thunder
Somehow
I just don’t wanna stay and wait for a wonder

I’ve been watching
I’ve been waiting
In the shadows for my time
I’ve been searching
I’ve been living
For tomorrows all my life

Lately I been walking walking in circles, watching waiting for something
Feel me touch me heal me, come take me higher

I’ve been watching
I’ve been waiting
In the shadows all my time
I’ve been searching
I’ve been living
For tomorrows all my life
I’ve been watching
I’ve been waiting
I’ve been searching
I’ve been living for tomorrows

In the shadows

In the shadows
I’ve been waiting

K Morris - Poet

From time to time, I Google my books to ascertain whether any of them have received a mention, for example in the form of a book review. Whilst searching for one of my titles yesterday (Wednesday 10th July), I came across a link to the book on Kiss Library.

All of my books (with the exception of Guide Dogs Anthology), are available from Amazon and (in the case of “My Old Clock I Wind“, and “Lost in the Labyrinth of My Mind“, also from Moyhill Publishing. I have never authorised Kiss Library to sell any of my books.

I was, obviously concerned to discover that Kiss Library is offering one of my works for sale without my permission. Firstly (as already stated) I never granted that organisation permission to sell any of my titles, and, secondly any funds from such sales will not be going into…
