No So Much Woe Is Me.

Sunday I had a real moan about my foot, my back, my teeth and to cap it all my mobile phone fell down the toilet!

I was upset, as you will know if you read OH! Woe is Me. Well I did go on a bit but I had had a bummer of a weekend.

I am a tough cookie though and I always try to bounce back. Now my left foot and ankle is still swollen.

My back is still aching and I still have toothache but I have a new phone.

Hubby took pity on me. He not only ordered me a new phone he got me the latest model .

So though I may be hobbling and suffering from toothache I am still up and doing .

It is really an eye opener when you realise how much you depend on your phone. I can’t tell you how pleased I am to be back in touch with the world.

So thank you all so much for all your sympathy and helpful suggestions about fixes for the ill-fated phone, which is buried in rice and hiding in the airing cupboard possibly recovering. ( No sign of improvement yet, like my foot)

And again 😁 thanks to hubby. Love to you all.

COLLEEN’S 2019 WEEKLY #TANKA TUESDAY #POETRY CHALLENGE NO. 135 #SYNONYMSONLY. Pretty & Ugly

This  week Colleen suggests  we play opposites  for her  Weekly Poetry Challenge . The  words  she has given us  are Pretty and Ugly. Great  words  but  we can not  use  them, no  we must use  them  as synonyms only.

This  part of Colleens Weekly Tanka Tuesday Poetry.

Skin Deep

Such

Beauty

So comely

As too beguile

The eye and  the heart

Of every man she meets

Truth will out there is no doubt

Her loveliness is but skin deep

The evil inside would  make  you weep

Her goodliness  was  no more  than skin deep

The Top Set.

We end up in the kitchen, we always did. The magnificent seven they called us, sorting out the ills of the world. Back then we were going to change the world. Everyone thought we had it made.Look at us now we couldn’t even change alight bulb! Where did all the fight go.
