WOE IS ME! A SELF PITYING RANT

iphone-1067991_1280

It is  not  my  day  today … It  started off  with me feeling  incredibly  sick …I soldiered  on  and  got  better  as  the  morning  went on. Went out  to lunch  with  the  mother in  law  and  spent  a  few  hours  with her  …Hubby  did  some  jobs  for her . I kept  my tongue  curbed   and  took all the  barbs  she  threw  my way .

We finally  headed  home  and I took Ruby for  a walk , on returning  home  I went  to the  loo. I forgot  to  remove  my  phone  from my jeans  pocket and  said  phone  fell down the loo! ….It is not  working, Hubby  has  dried  it  with  the  hairdryer  and  all I can do is  wait …I am not  to hopeful.

It’s like  having  an arm amputated  I guess like everyone  else  my  whole life is in that  phone ..banking, address book, friends, blog, photos  absolutely  everything. No it is  not insured.

So  to  add to  my  toothache, backache  and  swollen ankle  and  foot  I  now have  a dead phone……. It  has  two  chances …..   so do I!woman-3034934__480.jpg

Okay  that’s a tad  over  the top  but  we  do keep everything on our phones ! Lesson learned . Let’s  hope things  improve  next week .  💜💜 💜💜

I heard that you can put your cell phone in a bag of rice to dry it out.

Ah, another reason why my phone only makes and receives texts and calls (and now takes photos), and I have a backup list of phone numbers in an address book!
    Hope it dries out OK.

        Always. How is Tess?

She is having some respite, she has had a few days in Kent visiting her youngest son who she does not see very often. He was even off work so they gadded about together. She has been back since Thursday and been out and about each day since. She is off to Nottingham to visit her middle son and his family and also visit her other daughter in law and two granddaughters freshly back from the UAE and her eldest son will be joining them in September when he finishes his contract. So all her family will be back in England. Her hubby is doing well in respite. Her daughter visited him the other day and he wanted to go home with her, so Tess is staying away but phoning daily to see how he is doing. She needed the break as hubby is getting really difficult . I just hope she is as bouncy as she says she is . 🙂

So glad she is getting the respite she needs and getting to see everyone. So pleased it;s working out for her husband too. Give her my best.

My daughter put her phone through the washing machine the day after she got it. 🙄
The rice works but you have to leave it for a couple of weeks and get on it before the water cause any damage. I couldn’t believe it, but her phone was fine.

    Hope things are looking up!💕

Oh, wow, what a day indeed! You went over enough but the phone really was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I hope you can make it work at least enough to save all the necessary data. Sending you big hugs, Willow 💖

One of the advantages of having no patience with gadgets, I use my phone to text, call and take photos. I hope you get it working again and the headache doesn’t come to anything horrid 🙂

I’ve heard you need to bury your phone in rice, which will draw the water out. Couldn’t hurt…

Hope your phone recovers. Be patient, it may take a few days. I did this very thing a little while ago. Ugh! It does feel like you’ve lost a part of your body … or a part of your mind. I used the rice methods (I bet the desiccants will do at least as well). It took about four or five days, but it is now good as new. Hoping the same for you.

Oh no! Your day sounds like the title of a Judith Viorst book – “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.” Sure hope the phone recovers and you get to feeling better very soon.
