Hi it is Easter Sunday today and our host Jim Adams NewEpicAuthor has given us this wide open prompt.’Seasons/Winter/Spring/Summer/Fall ‘ for Song Lyric Sunday.
Sorry this one s so late, I have been so busy today. Hope you are all enjoying Easter.
Winter’s Tale, by David Essex.
A Man for all Seasons, by the Bee Gees, B side to 1970s A side Lonely Days.
“Man For All Seasons”
Just like you and I
I have all year to smile
A tear for every eye
Life closed it’s eyes, broke my world, now I cry
I’ve got to tell you, I’ve got the reasons
‘Cause I’m a man, a man for all seasons, alive
And would I pray
What makes the world go round
I haven’t got today
My mind is lost and found
Life closed it’s eyes and said goodbye, now I cry
But I’ve got to tell you, I’ve got my reasons
‘Cause I’m a man, a man for all seasons, alive
And would I pray what makes the world go round
I haven’t got today, my mind is lost and found
Du du du du du du du
I’m a man for all seasons
I’m a man for all seasons
I’m a man for all seasons
I’m a man for all seasons
Lyrics from A to Z Lyrics

I am unfamiliar with A Winter’s tale by David Essex, but it was nice to hear the Bee Gees Man For All Seasons again.

I think they are both excellent songs , thank you for giving us such an excellent challenge π

The only song we heard by David Essex in the US was βRock On.β This was a nice song. And as for βA Man For All Seasons,β simply beautiful.

David Essex was a prolific artist over he, he turned actor and was in the original Evita as Che” Guevara , he was good. As for the Bee Gees, they were just among the bestπ

Hi Willow,
I nearly went with David Essex too, so good to see him here.
Love the Bee Gees track. Barry’s the only survivor now. Love their music.

I forgot Diana Ross too with Chain Reaction. I don’t think he’s doing any solo work though. Glad to see him recognised in the Honours at last.
