Colleen’s 2019 Weekly #Tanka Tuesday #Poetry Challenge No. 126, “Poet’s Choice of Words”

It’s the first Tuesday of the month and that means we can choose our own words and there is no need to use synonyms .

I have chosen to do a Nonet today in honour of the coming spring. My two words are Spring and Hope.

Rules here

Hope springs eternal this time of year.

Winter lingers but have no fear

New life awaits to burst forth

Chill winds hover from north

Tiny buds grow

White, blue, golden

Emboldened

Spring is

Hope.

The winter is tough here, it doesn’t give up, but neither do I with hope for spring!

Willow, what a fabulous Nonet!! Snowdrops are one of my favorites. I’m planning a front garden this year. I wonder if I can incorporate some of them? Now, you have me thinking. ❤
