Companionship
They had never had it easy, no rainbow’s end for them. To say their path had been full of ups and downs was no exaggeration.
Born on different sides of the tracks, their beliefs poles apart but they knew when their eyes first met they had a future.
Obviously not roses and honeysuckle but a life together non the less. They’d had children and they lost children yet still they stayed together through thick and very thing.
One day as they sat chatting about their lives together they both agreed that what had bonded them, what had carried them through the years was not lust, not money, nor even love it was companionship.
