It’s the first Tuesday this month and as per Colleen Chesebro of The Fairy Whisperer’s rules I am choosing Red and White to use Synonymously.
Rules for Colleen’s Tuesday Tanka Challenge
Oh! Crimson as blood
Mixed with pure as driven snow
Late Autumn, still grow
The birds will eat the berries
How long will the roses last.

Oh, that is just splendid, Willow. What a beautiful rose! What are the red berries? The harsh mountain winds have stripped all our trees bare and the bite in the air means winter is closer than autumn! ❤

Hi Colleen, those are Rowan berries, we have loads which is an indicator of a harsh winter to come. The rose is over 40 years old and blooms, each season even in winter. I took the photo this morning. 💜💜

Willow, the Rowan (I had to look it up :D) is a mountain ash here in the states! One of my favorite trees. The berries are so beautiful. The Rowan has magical properties and when mixed with a rose, well you can be sure that the faeries check in there regularly! ❤

A mountain ash, that sounds exotic. I am glad to hear that fairies will visit …I could do with their help ! 💜💜

It was interesting to hear that those berries mean a harsher winter. Mother nature does have her say in the most interesting ways. A nice write Willow.
