Firework Night Naani

Flash green, red and gold

Stars shoot up the sky

Booms make your blood run cold

Smells,tomato soup/ onions fry.

Kat Myrman is writing a Naani every day this month.

Time passages.

Cold

And dark

November

Has now arrived

Nights rent assunder

Loud, bright pyrotechnics

Days short of light, nights coal black

North winds, morning frosts, leaves flying

We watch the old year slowly dieing

Time’s fast passage whips us on to winter.

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Nov. 3/18

This week LindaGHill has set us the prompt Point for her #SoCs. Here is how it works. ‘Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “point.” Open a book on your lap, close your eyes, and put your finger on the page. Whatever you land on, whether it be a word, a phrase, or a sentence, write about it. Enjoy’

Right book on my lap, eyes closed, po roll the pages plonk down the finger and…

The second anniversary of the fall of the Bastille was nothing like the first.

Where can I go with this, I have not read the book? It is not even my book it belongs to hubby.

The book is by Ruth Scurr and is called Fatal Purity, ( Robespierre and the French Revolution)

What does it mean to me…

Bring down the *Estates.

A Tanka

Times are a changing

Life needed rearranging

The three estates fought.

The clergy, nobles and poor

Old order to be no more

For years France was divided into three Estates. The First Estate was the clergy. The Second Estate was the nobles. The Third Estate was everybody else. As usual the first and second estates kept the third downtrodden, poor, hungry and abused. As always happens, eventually the Third Estate rose up and the French Revolution was born .

The Bastille was stormed on July 14 /1789 the rest, as they say is History 😀.
