For the month of September I am going to choose a piece of music or song and write a poem or alternative version. Jane Dougherty is doing a September Stanza here. And Kat Myrman is doing September a poem a day Here.
Today piece of music is The Theme to The World at War by Carl Davis.
My poem.
Small man, most evil
Made a nation do his will
Genocide his sin
The world was brought to it’s knees.
Fighting for all to be free.
Failed.

Carl Davis wrote some tremendous TV theme music. All through the seventies and eighties. It is a poignant poem, I agree.

I believe as long as men rule the world there will be wars. Power is a vindictive mistress.

Sadly this is true 💜

It is so sad that, as you said in this poem, it’s just one man’s madness and aggression for power and caused the death of millions. It’s mind bobbling. A powerful poem, Willow!

Thank you Miriam, it really makes you wonder how one man with so many insecurities could hold a whole nation in his hands… history keeps trying repeating itself..we must all be vigilant. 💜
