This week’s prompt words are, wait for it, Fall and Celebration, remember they must be synonyms only.

Autumn sheds her leaves

Summer bends her head and grieves.

Let’s have a party

The sun climbs down from on high

The breeze dances colder now.

Still.

Still there, the monochrome plaque. The light from the air vent illuminating it.Stark against the black tiles. The old fear flooded my back.

September Music 4

For the month of September I am going to choose a piece of music or song and write a poem or alternative version. Jane Dougherty is doing a September Stanza here. And Kat Myrman is doing September a poem a day Here

Today piece of music is The theme to Harry’s Game by Clannad. Written by and composed by Pól Brennan and Ciarán Brennan.

My poem today is about man’s struggles and Nature’s plans.

Magic in every breath

Weaving together life and death.

The beasts in fields see the sun rise and set.

With the troubles of man they’re not beset.

Nature carries on in her own way

While man causes havoc day to day.

The beauty of the country

The nature of the land

Where men strive with eachother to be free.

While Nature who watches has it all in hand.
