For the month of September I am going to choose a piece of music or song and write a poem or alternative version. Jane Dougherty is doing a September Stanza here. And Kat Myrman is doing September a poem a day Here

Today I have picked Andrea Bocelli singing Canto Della Terra

Written by composer Francesco Sartoriand lyricist Lucio Quarantotto. I love this song and have written my own in terpretation.

Poem of earth and love

Your eyes

Deep blue of the skies.

Your hands

Soft like rain on the land.

We lie

Between the dark and the light

We are wrapped in the arms of the night.

This earth

Holds us in it care

We need

To treat it better, be fair.

We love

We live on this earth

Fly high like the dove

Give the earth as it’s worth.

We lie
