Stream of Consciousness Saturday. Late Notice.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “notice.” Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy.

Welcome to our new badge from Pamela Jessen

Notice if you will that again I am very late posting my #SoCs for LindaGHill’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday. Well I noticed yesterday how behind I am falling with reading blogs, commenting and posting!

Now I have just noticed that this is not a very good post . In my defense all I can say is it’s been a busy weekend and today mother in law is visiting and she hates me or my husband even lifting our phones when she is here.

So I have rushed the housework and quickly done this SoCs post.

Please notice I just made it..

Happy Sunday all.💜😁

Song Lyric Sunday, Plan. 26/08/18

This is my entry for Helen Vahdati’s Song Lyric Sunday.

I have not much time today as Mother in law is due, no phones or computers allowed when she visits (it all about her) and why not.

So I have picked two of my favourites.

First Oasis and Master Plan. An all time favourite of mine. Very Beatlesques.

“The Masterplan”

Take the time to make some sense
Of what you want to say
And cast your words away upon the waves
Sail them home with acquiesce
On a ship of hope today
And as they land upon the shore
Tell them not to fear no more

Say it loud and sing it proud today

And then dance if you wanna dance
Please brother take a chance
You know they’re gonna go
Which way they wanna go
All we know is that we don’t know
How it’s gonna be
Please brother let it be
Life on the other hand
Won’t make us understand
We’re all part of the masterplan

Say it loud and sing it proud today…

I’m not saying right is wrong
It’s up to us to make
The best of all the things that come our way
‘Cause everything that’s been has passed
The answer’s in the looking glass
There’s four and twenty million doors
On life’s endless corridor

Say it loud and sing it proud today.

Well, dance if they want to dance
Please brother take a chance
You know they’re gonna go
Which way they wanna go
All we know is that we don’t know
How it’s gonna be
Please, brother, let it be
Life on the other hand
Won’t make you understand
We’re all part of the masterplan

AtoZ Lyrics

XTC and Making plans for Nigel.

“Making Plans For Nigel”

We’re only making plans for Nigel
We only want what’s best for him
We’re only making plans for Nigel
Nigel just needs this helping hand
And if young Nigel says he’s happy
He must be happy
He must be happy in his work
We’re only making plans for Nigel
He has his future in a British steel
We’re only making plans for Nigel
Nigel’s whole future is as good as sealed
And if young Nigel says he’s happy
He must be happy
He must be happy in his work
Nigel is not outspoken
But he likes to speak
And loves to be spoken to
Nigel is happy in his work
We’re only making plans for Nigel

August Stanza 26

It is August and so Jane is doing : a chain of images each one suggested by the last word in the preceding poem. They’ll be short, a single image of just a few lines. It will be interesting to see where it ends up by the end of the month.

Kat will be doing short 3,4, or 5 line poems no syllable counts of rhymes, starting with the word ‘August’ on the first day. The last word of the poem will be the first word of day two’s poem, and so on until the end of the month.

Finally I shall be doing all types of poetry but each poem will start with the last word in the preceding poem.

Today’s Poem is a Tanka.

Away summer blows

Chill nips my fingers and toes

Thousands of rain drops

Fall onto the roofs plip plop

Tomorrow may be summer.💜
