Compassion Acrostic

Thinking of all those in need of compassion, at this time thinking of my brother in law lost in the grip of demantia and my sister coping but struggling.

I wrote this back in January 2015.

Compassion Acrostic.

Compassion

Comfort me in my hour of need

Open your eyes and ears to me, take heed

Mindfulness is needed here in the world

Pain and grief are like weapons hurled.

All the woes of this vale of tears

Scream loudly in our ears

Sacred heart give us hope

In you we trust , help us cope.

OH! help us to help each other

Now in our hour of need to love our sister and brother.

Call him a pale and callow lad he

Fought to win the pure heart of she

Who’s beauty filled his being

Callous friends jokingly

Pressed him to call her

She liked him though

This young lad

August Stanza 4, Day

It is August and so Jane is doing : a chain of images each one suggested by the last word in the preceding poem. They’ll be short, a single image of just a few lines. It will be interesting to see where it ends up by the end of the month.

Kat will be doing short 3,4, or 5 line poems no syllable counts of rhymes, starting with the word ‘August’ on the first day. The last word of the poem will be the first word of day two’s poem, and so on until the end of the month.

Finally I shall be doing all types of poetry but each poem will start with the last word in the preceding poem.

Today an Acrostic Haiku.

Day.

Day breaks with new hope

All looks hopeful all looks right

Yesterday is gone.
