Stream of Consciousness Saturday Tea,Tee and T.

This week’s prompt for LindaGHill‘s #SoCs is Tea, Tee or a word beginning with T. You can get extra points if you use all three.

Rules and Pingback Here

Tea, I have never liked the stuff. No not loose tea, picked and dried, or in teabags it has never really rang my bell. It really does not appeal to me. Now the way you pour your tea out is supposed to denote which social class you are from.

In the past, putting the milk in last was considered to be the ‘correct’ thing to do in refined social circles. It was a way of showing that one had fine china on one’s table. ( Bone china would not crack with very hot tea being poured into it)
Where as the lower classes with cheaper cups put their milk in first, milk would lower the temperature of the tea thus sparing the cup.
I have heard that you can have afternoon tea at most golf clubs these days, so you could watch people teeing off while you drink your tea and have your scones.

That begs another question why is a tee called a tee.

Answer: A tee is a stand used to support a stationary ball so that the player can strike it, particularly in golf, tee ball, American football, and rugby.

Now I have used both prompt words so all I have to do now is use a word beginning with T and my task will be done.

Tearoom Acrostic Poem.

Take my word

Even we can enjoy a cuppa tea

Anytime haven’t you heard

Rounds of golf start with a tee

Only to end at the 19th hole

Oh!Yes indeed or even a cup of tea.

Moist cakes and Darjiling warm the Soul.

I’m not a tea drinker I just like the things that I perceive go with tea, fine china, fancy tablecloths, and lots of lemons. I like tea only when I’m sick, it soothes me.
