Terza Rima Day 15. Life.
This Month Kat Myrman has suggested a new theme for the daily poem—the Terza Rima, writing one stanza each day.
A terza rima consists of stanzas of three lines (or tercets) usually in iambic pentameter. It follows an interlocking rhyming scheme, or chain rhyme. This is where the middle of each stanza rhymes with the first and last line of the following stanza. There is no set length to this form, as long as it follows
I shall be joining Kat Myrman and Jane Dougherty in this challenge.
Life… A Terza Rima,
Young and happy to be alive
Learning lessons daily sharing our new life
We had to learn to grow and thrive.
Dashed Hopes.
I thought I could see the light
Hope crept into my darkest night
Silly me I dared to hope
Now it’s snatched away I cannot cope.
Fickle fate why do you treat me so
Why do people give me hope then say no!
Stupid me why do I believe
To be slapped down and left to grieve.
Song Lyric Sunday. Break.
This week HelenVahdati has given us the Song Lyric Sunday prompt of Break.
Break is a very apt prompt for me this week. On Tuesday evening I fell badly whilst out walking the Ruby. After a visit to A&E and xrays it was established that there were no breaks but soft tissue, tendon and muscle damage! I have a technicolour foot and leg. I am still hobbling and can’t walk far but I am on the mend. Pictures below are my foot and leg today.
I have pick a really old one. It is Breakaway by the Springfields released in 1961.
Dusty Springfield was in the Springfields with her brother Tom before she hit the big time.
Just a little snippet of information. Dusty Springfield, real name Mary Isabel Catherine Bernadette O’Brien went to school with my eldest sister.
