42 Day Twenty

Jane Dougherty has come up with a theme for May . It is 42, now Jane describes it thus: “42 after Douglas Adams’ answer to the question of life, the universe and everything. The form is like the Cherita in its structure with a bit of added interest. The first line/stanza asks a question or makes a statement that begs a question, the second stanza/two lines sets the scene or the background, the last stanza/three lines answers the question or resolves it in some way.

Smoke from a gun?

Again young lives taken

All that’s good forsaken

The gun in a child’s hand

Part of the story planned

An outcome that’s far from grand.

Sorry this is a total cheat but I am tired. 💜

Why can’t I sleep

These secrets I keep

Swept to the corner in a heap

I could apologize but words are cheap.

So on my knees I shall creep

To forgiveness I take a leap.

Song Lyric Sunday. 20/5/18

This is my entry for Helen Vahdati‘s Song Lyric Sunday. This week she has help from kirstwrites .

Well the prompt this week is to use a song by an artist or group who has the same name as us.

Well my name is not Smith but it is willow.

Bloggers Bash 2018 . Wonderful Day.

Well what a lovely Bash we had. The committee worked so hard to make everything just perfect. We had perfect weather and a great venue.

It was great meeting old friends and it was made extra special by meeting lots of first time Bashers.

I remember my first Bash three years ago, I was so nervous I took my eldest son along with me. So I made a conscious decision to speak and make friends with as many newbies as I could and it was lovely! I still had plenty of chances to chat with the old hands too! 💜

Congratulations to all the winners and to all the nominees.

Thank you for everyone who nominated me or voted for me . I didn’t win my catagory (Hidden Gem) but I am so grateful for being nominated.

I never take enough photos, probably because I am two busy chatting. But here are some that aren’t too bad 😁.

Well old friends or new it was a lovely day and I was so pleased to meet you all.

Hooray for the Bash and Hooray for the committee Hooray the attendees Hooray for those who couldn’t make it

Hooray for all bloggers.

Happy Sunday everyone.💜💜
