Song Lyric Sunday: Numbers.

Today is Sunday so it’s time for Song Lyric Sunday. Today’s prompt from Helen Vahdati is a song about Numbers.

Rules and Pingback Here

I was 15 going on 16, hang on that was another song and not the one I have chosen but as soon as I wrote my age it came to mind. It is from the musical The Sound of Music! Which dates from before I reached that age. Oh! Let’s hear that one too, it sounds cheesy but listen and read and you’ll be surprised by the lyrics .

I digress !!!

I shall start again. I was on the cusp of 16, I had left school the year before and was an apprentice window dresser, I had been with my future husband three years when this song was released in 1969, it was written in 1968.

In the year 2525 by Zager and Evans. This song blew my mind it was amazing. It said everything I felt about mankind and its future. My young mind truly believed we were on the eve of destruction another song for another time. ( By Barry McGuire 1965) oh here is the video it’s a great song!

Boy I was idealistic in those days.. a real Eco warrior.

It brings back wonderful memories of my younger life. I thought I had troubles then.. I didn’t…silly me.🙃.

Finally the song I picked for the prompt before I went of pieste!

The lyrics are in the video.

So there you have three songs for the one prompt one not with numbers !
