This week’s #CosPhoChal. Part of K’Lee’s and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.
Chosen this week by K’Lee. The beauty of wood, the gleam of metal and the reflection of glass. A veritable trio for us to expand on.
The beauty of wood : a dying tree trunk. Although it had new growth it did not survive.
Wood the beauty of : Part of the Marie Rose , Henry Vlll ‘s warship. In her special museum in Portsmouth Docks.
Looking through the glass of the Spinnaker Portsmouth. It’s a long way down.
Reflection in the wing mirror of our car.
Reflection of light on a church floor from a stained glass window.
The gleam of metal on the wall at Warrick Castle.

The gleam of metal on a well in a French Chateau.

The beauty of wood, the gleam of metal and the reflection of glass all in one.

And the same here in this glorious roof!

The boat is the Marie Rose, she was a Tudor Warship. She sank just off of SouthSea she was fighting the French Henry Vlll saw her go down. He was watching from SouthSea castle. She was salvaged in 1979 and is now on show in a specialised museum in Portsmouth Docks. It’s a fantastic experience.π

Those old ships are fascinating. I’m always surprised at how small they were, and astonished that they survived the great sea voyages they went on.

Yes indeed when you get up close you cannot image how the men the provisions, some live animals all manage to live! Not to mention the Men of War with cannon and cannon balls, muskets and soldiers π΅
