RonovanWrites #Weekly #Haiku #Poetry Prompt #Challenge #180 Slow&Burn

This week Ronovanwrites has set us the two words Slow and Burn.

This pain that I feel

Depression  hidden but real

It is a slow burn.

Childlike eyes delight

The train pulls to a slow  stop

Christmas spirit burns.

It’s a godawful time of year. Unless you have no worries at all, it’s stressful and depressing. Roll on spring.

Very apt, that “slow burn” of depression. (And it seems Christmas is depressing for many of us. I prefer to celebrate the Winter Solstice – quietly – and start watching the days get longer.) Wishing you all the best for the New Year, Willow. πŸ’•

That’s a very sensible way to celebrate the solstice. Yes lots of us find this time of year hard. We will get through it though. Send you strength 🌹 πŸ’œπŸ’
