A Month with Yeats Day 5

“And like a sunset were her lips,

A stormy sunset on doomed ships;
A citron colour gloomed in her hair,”

From The Wanderings of Oisin: Book One by W. B. Yeats.

Another quote from Jane Dougherty, of Jane Dougherty Writes.

Rules and Pingback Here

A moonchild she

Spirit wild and free

Eyes siren, compelling

Those she may see.

After a battle  she reaps the dead

Spreading blossom and blooms

Where young men  fell.

Did she sink a thousand ships

With golden hair and swinging hips.

Is she of heaven or of hell

Either way she casts her spell.

    I love the swinging hips to rhyme with sinking ships! Brilliant association!
