A magic tree

Out walking this afternoon with our best friends and our dogs we found this magical tree.

It’s another reminder that Autumn is definitely here. Some children or young at heart adults had spent time to make a beautiful tree out of all the signs of Autumn.

I honestly think this work of art, and work of art it is, is proof that Autumn Annie exists.

As we went along our way

Out on our walk with friends today.

We found a magical woodland tree

Such a lovely sight to see.

Someone hand spent time and loving care

To let us know that Autumn Annie has been there.

Sniffing our dogs, Monty and Ruby

Stopped to check if it was a real tree

And of course to have a Pee!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to a Great and Caring Blogger. the Militant Negro.

But I Smile Anyway...

Today I wanted to wish a happy birthday to an extremely supportive blogger amongst us.

The Militant Negro!

Here he is in all his glory!

A few months ago, I found my posts getting a regular reblog or share by someone I was unaware of. As I thanked for the share, we started upon a dialogue of sorts and D’ya know what? It’s a bit of a secret, but he is really rather lovely!

He’s gone from writing many posts and describing himself as:

…to a blogger who wants to share the words and work of fellow bloggers across the artistic board!

He shares hundreds of posts a day, and I know he shares the posts…

Autumn is here.

Autumn met with me today

Blowing my cobwebs away.

She invites leaves down  from the trees

To dance and fly around as they please.

A carpet of acorns she has laid down

And conkers in hues of reddish brown.

She likes the dark and mysteries

Look what she is doing to the trees

There is colour too, all is not dead

Yellows,Green, Brown and splendid Red.

You can smell the bonfires on the air

Halloween’s up her sleeve so beware.

Autumn here, she has made her stand

Bannished Summer with a wave of her hand.

She has reign until Winter arrives

Autumn will bluster and thrive.

A brave flower stands defiant in the chill

Hanging onto life, not heeding Autum’s will.

An empty bench among the leaves

Does Autumn sit there as her magic she weaves?

So welcome Autumn let you winds blow

The cycle of the seasons will not change I know.

Welcome Autumn Annie
