Colleen Chesebro’s Weekly Poetry Challenge. Shadow and Light.

This week Colleen Chesebro of Fairy Whisperer has set us our weekly prompt of Shadow and Light.

This week I have written a Tanka using a picture taken on a short break with people I really love and our dogs. I hope I have conveyed how happy we were.

Rules and Pingback Here

We were four giants

With two playful loving dogs

Our story is told

Here in shadow and in light

Out of dark we made all bright.

What a fun time. I feel the joy and abandon resonate from your words, Willow. Well done! โค

Nice thought which one. Can’t think of a rock song off hand but “We are Giants” from take that comes to mind but it’s hardly rock n roll ๐Ÿ’œ๐ŸŒน

Such a moment full of fun
We were relaxed and happy, everyone.
The sun the sky the sea just out of view
We had it all the dogs did too.
Oh! It seems so long ago
T’was but two months in truth you know. ๐Ÿ’œ๐ŸŒน

Ha! Got here in the end
The breeze my parachute did send
Out to sea,, back now to tend
    My notifications dear friend

    The view looking down
A nice spot you had found
    A sunny summers day too
    Best wishes to your dogs
Yeah, okay and you, as if
I’d forget, Hey ho, must go

Joking and poetry aside, I have to ask, what lens was used to take the amazing photo?
