Writespiration #125 52 Weeks in 52 Words, Week 30.

Our overworked Sacha Black said “Your challenge is to write your story using the weekly theme/prompt and write it in just 52 words…. EXACTLY, no more, no less. #Writespiration

The Prompt this week is Pie.

Every time she cooked a pie he said “what’s this, shit pie?” She was sick of it, sick of him!

So this week she prepared dinner carefully. Mash, cabbage, peas then she put the pie on the table He opened his mouth and froze, the words emblazoned  on the pastry “SHIT PIE.”

You have to wonder if he cut himself a piece…when my kids were little and my wife exasperated by their constant demands when they asked what was for dinner she’d say: Shit with sugar on top.
