Twittering Tale #36 – 27 June 2017

This is  my  entry  for this  week’s  Twittering  Tales  from Kat Myrman of  Like  Murcury Colliding . I am afraid  this  week I  took it very  literally, so I have done two stories this week. Both 140 characters.

Clear blue skies= safety, driving rain not so much, snow & fog = danger. As linesmen we work all weather. Sadly Jan didn’t see the ice.

Never argue with the guy up top he keeps you safe I only made that mistake once. Didn’t survive the fall. He said my wire frayed.

6th year Blogiversary!

Imagine  my  surprise  when I  received  this  message  yesterday ! Six  years, honestly where  have  those  six  years gone.  Now  I can  honestly  say I  have  grown in  those  six years  and  not  only older. I  have  gone  from a  woman locked into  pain  and  fear  to, I  hope  a woman in  control of  the pain  and  fear.

I started  blogging  about  pain  and  the  fears  that  beset  me  after my  accident. Now I hope  I  blog  poetry  and  prose  about  much  wider  subjects. I  have  met  wonderful  people  on  here  and  I so  grateful  for  the  friendship  and  support I  have  received here and I  do  hope I  have  returned  it  all too. I  have  also  attended two  bloggers  Bashes , the  second  one  completely on  my  own !! Meeting  fellow  bloggers in  person  is  just  so  wonderful!

So I  guess this  is  my  6th Blogiversary! Cakes, balloons  and  drinks  all round  lets  party! I owe  you  all a  hug  THANK  YOU !!

Looking out to sea

A long days wait looking  for lights

Cold cold  the  harbour

Lost loved ones to cruel sea

Pain mirrored in harbour Lights.

Mirror like  the  sea

Shows life stormy and  becalmed

No safe harbour yet

Thrashed on the rocks  we cling on

Hoping against hope  for calm.
