Thursday Photo Prompt,#writephoto, Empty.

This is my entry to Sue Vincent of Daily Echo weekly #writephoto.

This week’s prompt is Empty.

Rachel woke remembering the horror of Lisa’s dream. The feeling of unease she had experienced in her sleep was still with her. She padded over to check on Lisa who was standing at the sink looking out of the window.

Lisa looked at Rachel and stroked her,” do you mind if I treat you as a wolf” she asked silently, “yes I can speak to you by telepathy and you only need to think to answer me.”

“Ah”, replied Rachel, “like the Vampires, like my Mathew.” Lisa noded, she knew about Mathew having read Rachel’s thoughts.

They decided to take a walk to clear their heads after the bad night they had had.

To all appearances a pregnant woman and a pregnant wolf walking along an empty beach. The sound of the waves crashing on to the beach soothed them both. Healing recent wounds. Both Rachel and Lisa grew closer linked now by their silent telepathy.

The sky was pale, the sea dark, the grass green, dark in the shade. The beach was empty, the wind was empty the two women’s hearts were empty. Alone on the empty beach, they were safe for for now.
