#musicalmarch🎵Day 5 At the Movies.

Our Blog Sis Ritu at  But  I smile anyway has come up with another challenge for us this month Musicalmarch.

Ritu  said  : “Nothing too serious or tedious.Just a chance to share some songs! If you fancy posting a song for any reason this March, tag it #musicalmarch🎵 and link back to one of my posts so I can listen to your special songs too!

Today  is  Day 5 of Musicalmarch and  I  thought I  would choose  to  share  some of  my favourite  music  from  the  movies.

First off The  beautiful  theme  from  Gladiator , Hans Zimmer  and  Liza Gerrard

Secondly  the  theme  from  the  beautiful  film Once , Falling Softly performed  by  Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova

Thirdly Annie Lennox singing  In to  The  West  from Lord of  the  Rings.

And lastly  but  not least, my  favourite  clip of  all time  from an Asian Film  from 1998 Hindi film Dil Se. The  song  is  Chaiyya Chaiyya sung  by   Sukhwinder Singh and Sapna Awasthi.

“Once” is a lovely story, i had the pleasure of watching it last summer. Very enjoyable music selection, I recognize all except the last one, thanks for sharing that!

I have never seen the movie that Chaya, Chaya comes from but believe it or not, it is on my kids’ playlist. We love it and I am not even sure how we found it. I love all of these other songs, too. Once was such a great movie!

Lisa Gerrard has recorded some incredibly dreamy vocal sounds (I call them dreamscapes!). Great for mentally escaping and … just going somewhere… anywhere! 🙂

Great choices, Willow. Wasn’t going to listen to them all now cause I have to run out the door but did anyway. Thanks for a great start to my morning. I like the second one and have never seen Gladiator. Enjoyed the video and the haunting song.

I am not very up on my film songs but I enjoyed these, Willow! All different but each had something to offer!
