Swan Dance

Simon the  swan was the last out on  the lake  as always. All the older  and may  I say  wiser swans  were  all nested up  and cosy. Not  Simon as always  he was out moon dancing and  dreaming moon dreams.

They all said, the old ones,  that  he  would  come to no good, have a sticky  end. It didn’t  matter  where  they  were, lake, river or stream  Simon was always  the odd one out. Maybe  this  was  true  but Simon  just  wanted  to  experience  more, fly, swim or  waddle  further  than any  of  the others in  his Bevy.

So here he was on his  own in the middle of  the night on the lake  moon dreaming. Suddenly  there  was a sudden  flash of  light  and  flapping of  wings. Simon looked up in astonishment  as the most stunning  and unusual  bird… creature? came into view!

“Hello” said  a sultry  Hiss, “it’s Simon  isn’t .” Beak open  and lost  for Hiss,Simon  was  stunned  how  does  this magnificent  creature  know  my  name  flashed  through his mind!

Finally finding his  voice  he  blurted out , “How  do  you  know  my  name! ” Rearing up  to  her  full height (5ft 3ins) the  bird of  fire ( definitely  a  bird  she had  wings) replied  with a  sexy  Hiss. “My  name is Phoenix, and I  am here  to  take  you  Simon  for  my  mate!”

There  were  a few  minutes of silence , Phoenix hovered  just above  the lake  leaving a beautiful   fiery trail  on the  still surface. “Well”  she  said “Simon  would  you like  to join me , I have  been watching  you  for  a long  time  and  I  think  you  would  be a perfect mate! ”

Simon thought  for  two  seconds ( quite a long time  for  him). Then  he  replied  YES!!

So they took off together, Simon  and  Phoenix  flying in tandem wing  tip  to fiery  wing tip. Together  for ever  with  an eternity  of  excitement  before  them.

In  the  morning  the  rest of  of  the Bevy  searched  high  and  low  for Simon but he  was  gone ….all they  found  were a  few smoky feathers  and  a burning  smell. They  all decided  that  sadly  the  sticky  end  had  arrived  for  poor Simon.

As  for Simon and Phoenix   well  they lived  happily  ever after of  course!.

TINGLE : Acrostic Poem

Tensing  muscles  and  heightening senses

Invisible  vibrations of  the  sexual type

Needing  release,  to hell with  expenses

Gnawing  want   as lips meet,   building  the hype

Lust grows  as  clothes  are  ripped off

Engulfing all, the  tingle grows as  two become one
