Fog : Haiku

Out late  with  the  dog

Encased in a  cloak  of  fog

It feels so  eerie.

Fog : A Nonet 

A light  through  the  fog  looks inviting

Familiar sights  look just like witches

Damp,  misty  Jack Frost  biting

Noise behind , nerve  end twitches

Quiet fosters fear

The light draws near

Shut the door

On the

In 2007  we took a  trip to  Crete  and  while  there  we visited  Spinalonga  . Sinalonga  was a Leaper  colony  between  1903 to 1957 and  before  that  it  had  a  colourful  history!Read  about  it  here

Above  the  door  by  which  the  leapers  entered … one  way.

A beautiful and  tantalising view of  the  sea  and  the  mainland  so  near yet  so far.   

A beautiful sky , and a beautiful  day  the  sky  framed  the  little house with  the  sturdy  brown door!

I snuggle deep into my blanket fold.
