So happy for Ruby and for you! A sick puppy is nearly as upsetting as sick child. Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

Hi Ruby: I ate a cooked chicken bone once that somebody dropped on the side of the road! I’ve never had so much attention, and you’ll never guess what they did afterwards… they checked and squished every poop until it came out! They were really happy when they realized that it had not splintered, but came out complete! Woof! Ray.

I know Ray, they can be very odd the panic they fly in to if I hurt my claws or eat anything nice! But I think they love us!! I am very grateful that you walk with my Canadian counterparts once a year I shall look on you as an honourary guide dog. It was hard work but I loved it . Mind you I am enjoying my retirement. xxcx

I was thinking about becoming a service dog, but if I see a squirrel or (worse) a cat, then I’m off and after it! I think that I’ll just stay as me! Woof! Ray.

Well that is the thing if you can’t ignore a squirrel or a cat then a service dog is not the job for you! I watch my new friends barking and jumping around at the sight of squirrels or cats… thing is I just can’t see the attraction I just ignore them! In fact in the 8 months that I have been living with my new humans they have only heard me bark twice and that was when a Rhodesian Ridge Back went for me and I shouted NO! at her and luckily she stopped, and when the puppy next door kept nipping my neck and told her no! firmly! My hero , willow’s husband has walked me since I started work at 3yrs old so I know him very well!! I think you deserve a rest now Ray you had a hard start in life!! Love Ruby!!xxxx
