    Interesting to note the arched lintels. Back then, they didn’t have the strong, cheap materials we have with which to build, so they built with stone, in designs that lasted forever. We just tear it down & build another cheap one…

      Yes we have become a disposable society. It is very sad.. Nothing much of us will be left for those who come after us. It beggers the question will there Archeologists in the future or will Archeology be a disappeared profession?

        Considering our chances of species survival are becoming rather small, I’d say the latter, as we will, most likely, ALL be disappearing in the not too distant future, thanks to our own lack of foresight….

        SIGH…. and we had such promise, too…
