We went to the old and beautiful town of Rochefort en Terre. The drive was longer than we had planned but it was well worth it.
The door above was found at the old chateau above the town. It was not open to the public, only the grounds were. Sadly the whole place looked neglected from what we could glimpse through the dusty windows .As you can see the door though was very impressive as was it’s knocker.
There was a little chapel also in disrepair but full of atmosphere!
We wandered through the town and were amazed at how alive and bright and full of life it was after the sad and tired but lovely chateau. Here are some more doors from Rochefort en Terre.
