So the lovely and talented Helen Espinosa said : The prompt for this Sunday is: A song from the very first band you saw in concert. If you’ve never been to a concert, you can choose a song from a band you want to see in concert.
It was my thirteenth birthday and my mum and dad somehow got me tickets to see the Rolling Stones and the Yardbirds at the Albert Hall. Not only that they had got me a box! They also organized for the son of a friend of mum’s to escort me on the tube and enjoy the gig with me! He was older than me and it must of been a pain to drag a thirteen year old around London.. But unless he did not like the Stones or the Yardbirds the concert must of made up for it!
It was amazing and I shall never forget it!
Thank you mum and dad that was over fifty years ago and I still remember it as if it was last night!!

The Stones – wow! The only bands that came to my town were Chad and Jeremy and Peter and Gordon! Not quite as exciting.

Peter and Garden , world without love, I remember them! One of them was Jane Asher’s brother I believe! 😉

Wow, Willow, this is so cool! The Stones, The Yardbirds, and Albert Hall – here in the U.S. some might consider that the triple crown 🙂 Loved the post & thanks for sharing your wonderful memory! 🙂
