“Drink to me only with thine eyes.” Is an old English song that has always intrigued me. The lyrics are beautiful and have always touched my heart.
Drink to me only with thine eyes,
And I will pledge with mine;
Or leave a kiss but in the cup,
And I’ll not look for wine.
The thirst that from the soul doth rise
Doth ask a drink divine;
But might I of Jove’s nectar sup,
I would not change for thine.
I sent thee late a rosy wreath,

The beauty of the words are very touching. Words of love.
Coming back to the prompt, drink , and I do like a drink occasionally.
To tell the truth I have a glass of wine, preferably a full bodied red.
During the day I like coffee black coffee….. not too keen on a drink of tea.
That’s not very English of me is it!
