A teaser from a classic love story (with or without broken hearts)

Let’s go sophisticated and remember what we were told to read in school. Or if you are a lover of classic literature then by all means share what you are reading now. Of course, you do not need to follow this prompt nor the Teaser Tuesday meme. Just write, draw, photograph, sing, dance, paint, crochet….. you get the gist …. about LOVE!

Tuesday for me is  always  very  very  hard!  Teaser  Tuesday should  be  renamed  Tuesday  Torment  for me!

I am sorry  I  did  not  warm to  the Brontes, Charlotte, Emily  or Anne

I managed  to  side  step  them at  school and  to  be honest  I  still  am.

Poor Elizabeth Gaskell   I also  gave  her  the  swerve

She  wrote  some  famous books  so I  know I  have  some  nerve!

Shakespeare sent  me to  sleep  though I agree his plots were good

His  sonnets  sometimes  took  my  eye though  not  as much  as  they  should!

Now give me Hans Anderson  and  his  fairy tales and  the  Brothers  Grimm

Their stories  really captured my  heart and  that’s where  Da Love comes in!

Then  Tolkien  and  and C.S. Lewis   helped my  imagination fly

I think the  classics are  not  for  me, you may  be  asking  why

Fairies, Elves, Vampires, Warewolves and  heroes are  what I desire

The  otherly  and  fantasy  have  always been what sets my  soul on  fire!!
