One Liner Wednesday:Change of Pace

I was watching  ‘Call  the  midwife‘ a  program I  love. The  characters  are  so  lovely. Typical  50/60 fashions ,  music  and  wonderful  story lines. The  Midwives  and  the  Nun’s  all speak  excellent BBC English  while  everyone else speaks  East End cockney.

Picture  the  seen  the  Nuns  and  midwives  are  running  an  anti natal clinic. A young woman  known  to  one of  the midwives (Trixie) is  called  for  an exam by  Midwife Barbara. Midwife  Trixie  buts  in  ” Can I  examine  this  patient  pleased Barbara” Barbara replies “OH! yes of course, I haven’t  boiled  any  urine  this  morning,I could  do  with  a  change of  pace!”

That  “OH! yes of course, I haven’t  boiled  any  urine  this  morning,I could  do  with  a  change of  pace!”   is  one of  the  best  one  liners  I  have  heard  for a  while!
