Odd/Even

art-black-cry-dark-eyes-favim-com-427813The  odds  were  always  against  me

I always  had  to  do  what  others  wanted

That is  not  fair  I was  tied and not  free.

To  spread  my  wings  is  what I needed.

I decided  to  get sorted,  to  get even

To square  the  odds and  stop  the  grieving.

I packed my  bags  and  left a  note

Across the  wall in  bold  letters I wrote.

I am sick  of  dancing  to  your tune

No need  to expect  me back  anytime  soon

I have taken all I can stand  and  now I am leaving

I have taken  all your odds  and made  them  my  evens!

Very interesting poem, I love how you use the odds and even, very powerful and sure.
