Just Jot It January: Frozen: Little Mae and Polar Bear

Frozen

The way had been long and  treacherous and little Mae  had faced  many triumphs  and defeats. The  evil  Witch  who  had  destroyed  her family  and  robbed her of her  life was  possibly  still alive.

Mae  had  been  badly wounded  in  the  heat of  an  evil  battle  and  had  slipped into  a deep  sleep. Her  trusted  general Ewen  had  carried  her  away  from  the battle  and  buried  her deeply  beneath  the snow. Where  she has lain  frozen  for  many  years.

In her  sleep she  was  reunited  with  her  beloved Polar Bear. Polar  Bear  was  a handsome  young  man , a body guard  to Little Mae in  a former  life, before  the  Witch had  changed him. Mae believed  that  he was dead  and  so in this  their  frozen  time together, she  delighted.

Frozen beneath  the  ground  Little Mae  slept on comforted  by Polar Bear. She  could see her father’s castle  and her  family  all safe  and  happy. (None of which was true). All of  her  body  was frozen  except her  heart which  beat  slowly.

The Evil  witch  had  cast a spell upon  the land  which  had  caused it  all to be frozen. No  crops  could  grow no animal or  beings  could  survive  for long. Some  say  that only Little  Mae  could  save  them from the  spell.

The  Years  passed and  Ewen grew old and  many of  the old  ones  died. Little Mae  and  Polar Bear  became  a  legend was  she  really  hidden under  the  snow. Frozen. Would  she ever  wake  and save  the land.

Ewen knew  she would, but Ewen was old  and no one listened  to him anymore.
