Tuscan sun set!

Don’t  worry  everything  is  as it  always  is  with tea  and coffee  from all over  the world not to mention all our cakes  and muffins  and  as Paul  calls  them sweets! Every single  one  is  calorie  free! Plus of course  we now have spirits  and liquors  to warm the coldest of  you.

If we were having  Coffee: I would ask  you what  has been going on in your world this week, has  anything  deeply affected  you, have  you need a sympathetic ear, a shoulder to cry  on or  just  needed someone  to make  you laugh! If  yes  feel free to talk it out  here  with us. We will all help if  we can.

Lets  join  everyone  here  and  all the  other  “IF  WE  WERE  HAVING  COFFEES”

If we were having Coffee: I would  remind  you  that  there  are lots of  other  coffee mornings  all shared  and organized  By  Diana  and  Gene’O  over at,Part time monster

Paul who is  over  at  Mark Bialczak   in Syracuse this  week  and  all this  month. So  don’t  forget  to visit  him  over  there! I  shall be  later!

If  we  were having  Coffee : I  would  tell  you  that  since  we last  had our  Sunday  coffee  we have travelled  from  the  Rhone Alps  through  Lake  Como  and  ending up  at  our  favourite  place in  Tuscany!  We have had  a wonderful  Holiday   and  Next Sunday   we  shall be  home….. I  have  mixed  feeling  about  that!

Anyway  here  are  some  photos!

Now if  we  were having  Coffee  I  would  tell  you  that  I  have  had  a  wonderful  holiday, still  6days  left! But  I  will be  glad  to  get home  and  see  the  family and  all my  friends  too. We  have  met  some  really  lovely  people  while  we have been  travelling   and  I have  lots of  amazing  memories!

Right  I  have  to  go  now  as  dinner  is  about  to  be  served!

So If  we  we  were having  Coffee:

I would  have  to  say I shall love  you  and leave  you  all to  enjoy  I  am  putting  my  feet up  now  and  taking  in the  view  so  come  and  join  me  or  wander  over  to see Paul who is  over  at  Mark Bialczak   in Syracuse this  week  and  all this  month. Let us  see  what  they are  all discussing  ! It has  been lovely  as always  to have  you all here  and  I  hope,  as does  Paul  that  you will all join us here and  at Mark Bialczak ‘s again  next  week. Then  hopefully  back  to  normal at my  blog!!

Stream of Consciousness Saturday: Paintballing.

LindaGHill said. Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “-eat.”  Use the word “eat” or add letters to it to make a different word. Don’t cheat!

Here is  the pingback!

Retreat, retreat ! shouted  Jen as if  stuck on  repeat!

We are  losing  this  game  we’re outnumbered  and  cannot  compete!

Yes shouted  the  others we are  going  nowhere, let us  go  eat!

EVERYONE ! Wave  that  white  flag our ammo is  replete!

Hurry up, over  here,  we’ve  saved you  guys  a seat

We won shouted  the  blue  team, we had  you  beat!

Not  fair shouted  the  red’s are  you  sure you did  not  cheat?

No  we won fair  and  square  and  so the  food is  your treat!

So they  laid down  their  paint guns, it had been fun

To  win was a feat especially  in this  heat

It was  supposed  to rain  but they’d  only  had  sun

Better  than last  time  when it had been cold with sleat!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here are the rules:
1. Your post must be stream of consciousness writing, meaning no editing, (typos can be fixed) and minimal planning on what you’re going to write.
2. Your post can be as long or as short as you want it to be. One sentence – one thousand words. Fact, fiction, poetry – it doesn’t matter. Just let the words carry you along until you’re ready to stop.
3. There will be a prompt every week. Linda will post the prompt  on her blog on Friday, along with a reminder for you to join in. The prompt will be one random thing, but it will not be a subject. For instance,  Linda  will not say “Write about dogs”; the prompt will be more like, “Make your first sentence a question,” or “Begin with the word ‘The’.”
4. Ping back! It’s important, so that Linda  and other people can come and read your post! For example, in your post you can write “This post is part of SoCS:” and then copy and paste the URL found in your address bar at the top of Linda’s post into yours.  Your link will show up in Linda’s comments, for everyone to see. The most recent pingbacks will be found at the top.
5. Read at least one other person’s blog who has linked back their post. Even better, read everyone’s! If you’re the first person to link back, you can check back later, or go to the previous week, by following my category, “Stream of Consciousness Saturday,” which you’ll find right below the “Like” button on Linda’s post.
6. Copy and paste the rules (if you’d like to) in your post. The more people who join in, the more new bloggers you’ll meet and the bigger your community will get!
7. Have fun!
One Liner Wednesday : Birthdays
This  is  part  of  LindaGHill’s   One  Liner Wednesday! Here is  the pingback!
There are two great days in a person’s life – the day we are born and the day we discover why.
Anyone who would like to try it out, feel free to use the “One-Liner Wednesday” title in your post, and if you do, you can ping back to Linda’post here to help your blog get more exposure. To execute a ping back, just copy the URL in the address bar on this post and paste it somewhere in the body of your post. Your link will show up in the comments on Linda’s  page. Please ensure that the One-Liner Wednesday you’re pinging back to is this week’s! Otherwise, no one will likely see it butLinda.
As with Stream of Consciousness Saturday (SoCS), if you see a ping back from someone else in my comment section, click and have a read. It’s bound to be short and sweet.
Unlike SoCS, this is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”
The rules that I’ve made for myself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:
1. Make it one sentence.
2. Make it either funny or inspirational.
3. Use the tag #1lineWed for more exposure.
Have fun!
Evenings musing
unnamed (71)Here  I  am under  the  stars and  moon
The  crickets  sing  to  each other  and  soon
There will be  silence, no cars or voices to
Break  the  quite until the  sun rises  anew.
Today  I  stood  by  ruin’s  walls and  felt  the  history
I seemed  to  see it  all  the  life,  the  death,  the mystery.
What webs of intrigue went on  where I stood
Was there fighting  on this  spot , was it  for evil or  for  good.
I guess I  shall never know!
Sunday Song lyric: Better get to living!
As much  as  it grieves  me  I  have  to  say  Dolly  Parton  writes  some  brilliant  songs  with so  much meaning! Well I fell in  love  with  this  little  ditty  then I  accidentally  found  this  young  man’s  version of  the  words! His interpretation  has  inspired  me on  and off  over  the  years  since I  found  it! so  please  enjoy!
“Better Get To Livin'”
People always comin’ up to me and askin’
“Dolly, what’s your secret?
With all you do, your attitude
Just seems to be so good
How do you keep it?”
Well, I’m not the Dalai Lama, but I’ll try
To offer up a few words of advice.
You better get to livin’, givin’
Don’t forget to throw in a little forgivin’
And lovin’ on the way
You better get to knowin’, showin’
A little bit more concerned about where you’re goin’
Just a word unto the wise
You better get to livin’.
A girlfriend came to my house
Started cryin’ on my shoulder Sunday evening
She was spinnin’ such a sad tale
I could not believe the yarn that she was weavin’
So negative the words she had to say
I said if I had a violin I’d play.
I said you’d better get to livin’, givin’
Be willing and forgivin’
Cause all healing has to start with you
You better stop whining, pining
Get your dreams in line
And then just shine, design, refine
Until they come true
And you better get to livin’.
Your life’s a wreck, your house is mess
And your wardrobe way outdated
All your plans just keep on falling through
Overweight and under paid, under appreciated
I’m no guru, but I’ll tell you
This I know is true.
You better get to livin’, givin’
A little more thought about bein’
A little more willin’ to make a better way
Don’t sweat the small stuff
Keep your chin up
Just hang tough
And if it gets too rough
Fall on your knees and pray
And do that everyday
Then you’ll get to livin’.
The day we’re born we start to die
Don’t waste one minute of this life
Get to livin’
Share your dreams and share your laughter
Make some points for the great hereafter.
Better start carin’
Better start sharin’
Better start tryin’
Better start smiling
And you better get to livin’…
If we were having Coffee: Chateaux and ghosts
unnamed (38)
Boussay Chateau
Welcome  everyone  especially  Sheri  who  arrived  last  night  sleeping  bag  in  hand.  Now  I  have  explained  that  the  internet is  very  sketchy  around  here, in  the Rhone  Alps!
Now  I  have  decided  that  we  shall  travel back  to  Boussay  and  that  beautiful  Chateau  that I  felt  so  sorry  for! Let’s  bring it  to life  for  a  few  hours  if  only  virtually. We  can  throw  cushions  and  drapes  around  ,  maybe  you  could  all  bring  your own! We  can  have a  party  here  a  tea  party  and  breath  some  virtual  life into  the  sad  empty  place.
Don’t  worry  everything  is  as it  always  is  with tea  and coffee  from all over  the world not to mention all our cakes  and muffins  and  as Paul  calls  them sweets! Every single  one  is  calorie  free! Plus of course  we now have spirits  and liquors  to warm the coldest of  you.
If  we  were having  coffee: I would  welcome  you  to  this  wonderful place  and  ask  you how  you have  all been. Now  although  we  are  not  still in  Boussay   my  thoughts  are  dragged  back  there  by  the  beautiful  but  empty  Chateau. The owner  who  was 95yrs  old  and  lived in  two  rooms  of  the  Chateau  toward  the  end of  his  life  only  died in  May  of  this year….. imagine  that  old  man alone in  a huge  chateau  with  all his  memories  and ghosts.
unnamed (67)-001
Now  If  we  were  having  coffee : although  we are in  a wonderful  place  with  mountains, swimming  pool and  lovely  hosts  I  am  still  drawn  back  to  the  chateau. I  hope  you  are  enjoying  our  sojourn here! I  have  to  dash off  now  as I  have  not  enough  time  to  stay  as long  as I  would  like  also  not  enough  wifi! So  please  stay  and  enjoy  I  am with you  in  spirit …just  like  the  ghosts  of  the    chateau!
I  shall love  you  and leave  you  all to  enjoy  I  am  putting  my  feet up  now  and  taking  in the  view  so  come  and  join  me  or  wander  over  to see Paul who is  over  at  Mark Bialczak   in Syracuse this  week  and  all this  month. Saturday Stream of Consciousness Saturday :Route/Root
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “route/root.”  Use one, use both, use them as they are, or add something to them. Have fun!
Here is  the  pingback
The  route  to  Mirmand  from Charnazay!
unnamed (68)-001
Charnazay
Today  we  set  off  from  our lovely   Gite in  the  Loire  valley  and  drove  382 miles  down  through  France and up into  to  the Rhone  Alps! The  route  we  took  was  a  mixture  of  motorway  and twisty  turny  mountain  roads  with  BIG  drops!  and  signs  in French  saying  Motor  Bikes   beware and  no  overtaking… but  the  French  motorists do  not  seem  to take  any  notice! I  hasten  to  add  we  did!
The  wifi  here  is  very  sketchy and  I  am standing  out  in a  courtyard  over looking  a  beautiful valley  not  that I  can  see it  because it  is  pitch  black  but  I  have  a fabulous  view  of  the stars and  the  moon. Consequently  this  will  be  a short  post.
unnamed (65)-001
Mirmand
We  found our  way  down to  the  ancient town of  Mirmand  a  five  to  ten  minute  route  from our little  stone  cottage and  found  a  restaurant  and  had  a  meal  of  root  vegetable  Lasagna followed  by   cheese cake. Then  fortified  by  a  glass of  red  wine  we  found  our  way  back  by  the  same  route  but  this  time in  totally blackness!
